I felt so bad for Hearne when he began crying in the Prairie Village police station at 3AM. His mugshot showed huge bags under his blood-shot vacant eyes. Give the guy a break and at least let him put on a little mascara and lipstick that alone would increase his enjoyment being locked down for the night in the Johnson County Jail. Inmates really like girly men with mascara running down their cheeks. Hearne might have saved his tears for the people he might have killed while being drunk behind the wheel of his dumb little car. KC Confidential needs to start a petition drive to confront the Police departments handling of this matter. Hearne is a blue blood. His pedigree certainly lends him some leverage with regards to picking his favorite mug shot. The Prairie Village Police Department need to drop the charges, apologize to Hearne and have the arresting office fired. Hearne is a Kansas City treasure. Where would Loy Edge be today without Hearne? Who would have paid for the private urinals at Pembroke if Hearnes's father had not come forward. This arrest and unflattering mug shot is nothing more than a smear campaign by Rockhurst alumini and thousands of crackers who never get to be in Hearnes column. This matter will not go be forgotten
Thank God the mug shot didn't reveal the little butterfly tattoo behind Hearnes left ear.
